A recovering drug addict and his family have joined together with Brookville Celebrate Recovery to create the “Night of Hope Event.” This is the second year for the annual event.
Twenty-eight-year-old Tyler Ross, a Brookville Native, is now two years sober from a prescription drug addiction. Ross and his family say hope is the most important thing you have during a recovery process. Ross hopes to inspire others to be able to find the strength to recover. The Ross family attributes hope and their faith for the success they had to overcome daily struggles recovery brings.
Last year, the event drew around 80 people. Now, Ross is hoping he can impact even more.
The “Night of Hope” will be held Friday night May 18th, at 6:30 p.m. located at the First Church of God in Brookville. Tyler Ross, his father Rick, along with Representative Chris Dush will all be guest speakers. There will be music, refreshments, and door prizes.
