A group of people in Blair County launched a search on Saturday, for a man, who was last seen on January 19. They gathered at the Creekside Inn to be briefed and then started the search in Brooks Mills.
The man they were looking for is 30-year-old Matthew Smith, who’s 5’11”, and weights 165 pounds. He has blonde hair, blue eyes, and tattoos on his forearm, wrists and chest. He also has a noticeable scar on his left leg.
His cousin Crystal Gindlesperger organized the search.
She said, “He would go out for a couple of weeks at a time but he always kept in contact with one or two friends and somebody always knew where he was, or who he was with, and you could contact him through Facebook and this is just not like him to go this long without contact.”
Searchers did not find Matthew on Saturday. They plan to resume their search on Sunday.
Gindlesperger says the family hopes and prays he comes home.
