A local school district says they are taking action after a video of a student writing an offensive word goes viral.
The video shows the student playing the game hangman with other students laughing and calling out the letters to spell the ‘N-word’. Also depicted, is a person on a burning cross. This took place on a smart board in a classroom. No word from the school district if a teacher was present in the classroom.
On Tuesday, the Hollidaysburg Area School District posted a statement calling the student’s action “abhorrent”.
