Heads up for parents, starting Monday, May 8th, students at State High in State College will be spending a little more time at school.
School times at the high school are being extended by 20 minutes.
According to the State College district website, the school day will begin 10 minutes earlier, now starting at 8 a.m. Dismissal will happen 10 minutes later than normal, making it at 3:36 p.m
The Centre Daily Times is reporting recent power outages and a gas leak back in February are reasons for why the school days are being extended.
The extra 20 minutes will last until May 26th.
