In the past, fake FEMA workers, asking for money to assess damage, were reported around Wisconsin after floods in that area.
The Better Business Bureau says fake contractors will play on your emotions offering immediate help and use a sense of urgency to get you to part with your money.
The Buearu says legitimate contractors and FEMA agents will have an ID on them at all times.
