The Sandy Township in Clearfield County are looking for a new police chief after Chief Don Routch retired Thursday.

Routch served the Sandy Township Police Department for 11 years, and had 40 years of law enforcement experience in Brockway, Dubois and Sandy Township.

Township Manager Dave Monella says there is no news on the hiring process yet. However, sergeants in charge will cover until the process moves forward.
