Local police are getting into the spirit of the season to help kids.
The Saint Marys Police Department is kicking off its Cops For Kids Program Monday, November 13, 2017.
As part of the program, officers may waive traffic citations for minor violations. Instead, they’ll be handing out flyers and asking people they pull over to donate toys to the department.
All the donations go to local children who otherwise may not have anything to open on Christmas.
And you don’t have to get pulled over to help! You can also drop donations off at the police department at 319 Erie Avenue, Saint Marys, Pa.
