HUNTINGDON, Pa. (WTAJ) — An annual program in Huntingdon is working to help improve and sharpen the driving skills of older drivers.

Representative Rich Irvin (R-Huntingdon/Mifflin/Centre) is hosting a Seniors for Safe Driving program on April 25 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Fellowship Center at Westminster Woods.

This is a great program that provides a lot of good, practical information for older drivers. Both first-time attendees, as well as those just needing a refresher, are encouraged to attend.”

-Rich Irvin

The program is open to drivers 55 years and older and costs $16.

There is no exam or on-the-road driving during the program, and when the class is completed, drivers will be eligible for a minimum 5 percent discount on their car insurance premiums.

Anyone interested in attending the class can register online or call 1-800-559-4880.
