A man is facing charges after a robbery in Philipsburg, Centre County Tuesday, at Snappys Convenience Store.
During the incident, the suspect told the cashier he was committing a robbery, jumped over the counter and stole three packs of cigarettes, before attempting to steal cash from the cash register.
He then fled the scene, but was located on State Route 504 where he crashed into a tree and was taken to UPMC Altoona for severe injuries.
The cashier was not injured.
