Altoona Mayor Matt Pacifico is issuing an official proclamation, deeming Saturday, November 25th, Small Business Saturday.
He is encouraging residents to shop local and support the new businesses in Downtown Altoona.
New this year, the downtown shops are working together to cross promote each other in hopes of getting shoppers to check out other stores.
Mayor Pacifico says supporting local businesses helps create jobs and boosts the local economy.
