The deadline is approaching for you to register your house for the Cameron County Decked Out House Decorating Contest.
The deadline to register is November 24.
This Chamber of Commerce event is providing bus rides on December 13 to tour homes in the community. The bus will depart from the chamber office on East Fourth Street at 6 p.m. and return at 8 p.m.
Prizes will be awarded for the best house. The first place winner will be awarded $200, the second place winner will get $150, and the third place winner will get $100.
A group of judges will also award the David Karkoska Prize of $250.
A $5 entry fee will qualify a home for the competition and a place on the map. Decorations must be operational December 7 through December 16 from 6 to 9 p.m.
