Medical providers in Cambria County hosted a fair Wednesday to connect addicts and their families with treatment centers.
The Recovery Month Resource Fair was held at Central Park in Johnstown. Representatives from treatment facilities in the region shared information about in-patient, out-patient and medication treatment options.
“I am impressed with the turnout that we had. A lot of people asking questions about what we do, a lot of questions about the drugs that are on the streets today and what help there is for people,” said Daphne Moot, a Conemaugh Hospital drug & alcohol counselor.
The fair was held in honor of National Recovery Month, to encourage addicts to seek treatment and let them know that recovery is possible.
