Parents are concerned after a Blair County daycare shut down overnight, without any warning.

This morning, when parents went to drop their children off at Stay and Play Preschool along along Roselawn Ave. in Altoona they were greeted by a sign saying it was closed.

We’re told it was shut down because of suspicions that someone with the school was mishandling large amounts of money.

Pastor Rebecca Holland with Christ Community United Methodist Church released a statement on Facebook saying that anyone who paid for yearbooks, tuition, and school related trips will be given a refund if they contact the church between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. Monday through Thursday.

That post has since been taken down.

There’s no word yet on when the school is expected to reopen.
