An annual festival in Cambria County is kicking off the fall season.
The 26th Annual Ebensburg PotatoFest is this Saturday, September 30. The event will have live music, more than 200 vendors and food, including potato dishes.
The festival started out as a way to celebrate Cambria County’s status as the second-largest supplier of potatoes in the state.
Ebensburg Borough officials said the festival has grown into much more over the years.
“It brings people back to the area. People also come from all over for the event. They stay at the hotels, they eat at the restaurants, they stay at the B&B’s. It’s really a great economic driver for Ebensburg,” said Danea Koss, the Ebensburg Community Development Director.
PotatoFest runs from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. on Saturday, September 30. For more information, visit the event’s website.
