A scam alert for residents in Cameron County.
State Police in Emporium say they’re getting a large number of complaints regarding an IRS phone scam.
We’re told the caller pretends to be from the IRS, saying you own money and making arrest threats.
Police say you should not give out any personal information. You can check your tax status at any time through the governments secure 800 number.
