State Police in Indiana are investigating a possible police impersonator in West Wheatfield Township.
A woman reported an incident to police that she said happened on April 17, after she rolled through a stop sign on a back road on Mulligan Hill Road.
She said a black mustang followed her for 10 minutes, with high beams flashing.
When she came to a stop, a man approached her car, advising her that she ran a stop sign. The man didn’t ask for her driver’s license or any other information, but gave her a warning.
The man is described as a white man, possibly in his 50’s, with short, balding hair. He was wearing a gray or tan long sleeved shirt and police duty gear, including a handgun and baton, but wasn’t wearing a name tag. The woman said his uniform possibly bore the Pennsylvania State Police patch.
His vehicle is described as a black, newer model Ford Mustang, with dark tinted windows.
Anyone with information is asked to call police.
