Allegheny Township Police are looking for the person they said broke into a car on Monday night. They said the break in happened after dark at the Summit Tennis and Athletic Club in Altoona.
According to officials, someone smashed one of the vehicle’s windows and stole an item from the car. Police did not specify what the item was, since the investigation is ongoing.
They said folks should keep their personal belongings with them, instead of in their cars, even if they’re running inside for a few minutes.
“The best thing is, if you have to leave them inside your car, the best thing you can do is hide them and make sure your vehicle is lock. Ultimately, the best way to protect your valuables is, if you have to take them with you, I would recommend you take them with you and keep them on your person,” Allegheny Township Assistant Chief of Police Michael Robison said.
Police ask anyone with information on this break in to give them a call. Their number is 814-695-3333.
