Three people are facing charges Wednesday after leading police on a chase.

36-year-old Joseph Garlock and 28-year-old Heather Bookwalter stole a shopping cart full of items from the Altoona TJ Maxx store on Plank Road on Sunday, September 3.

20-year-old Gage Ramey waited outside in the parking lot for them in a Chevy Cruise.

The three then drove to the Altoona Gabe’s store, also on Plank Road, and attempted to do the same thing.

Gabe’s employees were able to obtain a license plate, and they contacted police.

Police located the vehicle near Sabbath Rest Road, and the Logan Township police officer initiated a traffic stop.

As he was approaching the car, Garlock drove away.

Officers chased the car to Pennsylvania Avenue in Tyrone Borough where the car crashed.

The charges for all three of them are pending Wednesday.
