Police in Somerset County are investigating after a man shot 121 rounds into his friend’s cabin while the friend was still inside.

We’re told it happened on Cabin Road in Meyersdale, Larimer Township.

Officials said the suspect, Donald Smodic, was drinking at a hunting cabin with his friend, Walter Siwula.

Officers said the two got into an argument early Saturday morning and that’s when Smodic decided to leave. However, before going he started shooting into the building the fled the scene.

He was eventually found in Westmoreland County with a self-inflicted gunshot wound. No one else was injured.

Police are still looking into the incident.
