A Clearfield County police department delivered a big surprise to a boy who otherwise wouldn’t have a Christmas.
The DuBois Police Department gathered up gifts for 3-year-old Theone.
Even Santa and Mrs. Claus were there Friday afternoon to make the special delivery.
“Oh my god, I’m supposed to be a tough guy and I’m about to break down,” Theone’s father Tracy Alexander said. “So DuBois blessed up.”
Officer Zayne Rhed met Theone while patrolling in May. He got to know the boy since and wanted to help him have a Merry Christmas.
“He recognized it, it’s a great thing,” DuBois Police Chief Blaine Clark said. “It’s great to see a young officer have that much fortitude to go out and present this and actually spearhead it and get it going.”
Clark said this is just one way the department likes to give back to the community.
