We have new details about a bank robbery and police chase that happened in Mifflin County, Monday afternoon.
Sharif Layton and Jamal Cooper, both of Harrisburg, are accused of robbing the Juniata Valley Bank on South Logan Blvd, in Burnham, Mifflin County.
A man inside the bank was able to give police a location of the the suspect vehicle as the men attempted to get away. The vehicle was described as a dark colored Jeep with Maryland plates.
That vehicle was found at the Sunoco on Electric Ave. The suspects allegedly took off, reaching speeds of over 100 miles per hour, on Route 322.
Layton and Cooper were eventually caught and arrested in Newport, Perry County, nearly 40 miles away.
Both men are facing multiple charges.
