A planned power outage is scheduled for Monday night in parts of Jefferson County.
First Energy Corporation scheduled a planned power outage from 7 p.m. – 10 p.m. Monday, July 16 in Brookville Borough, and portions of Rose and Knox Township.
The power will be shut off so crews can put in a temporary sub-station, which will allow crews to do work on the main Brookville sub-station.
The outage will affect a little over 1,300 customers on the Penelec system.Mostly, residents in Brookville Borough and portions of Belgiumtown in Rose Township and Knox Township. Areas of Allegheny Boulevard towards the hospital are not in the affected areas.
