Philadelphia drug dealer sentenced to 30 to 60 years for Jefferson Co. crimes

A Philadelphia man has been sentenced to 30 to 60 years in prison for crimes he committed in Jefferson County.

According to the Jefferson County District Attorney, Edward Minner, 66, was arrested after an investigation into the death of Brittany Sebring, 21, in the Reynoldsville Borough. That investigation revealed the Minner had been delivering a number of illegal substances including heroin, methamphetamine, prescription drugs and marijuana to several people in Reynoldsville and was also establishing a drug network within the Jefferson County area.

On Wednesday, Minner was sentenced on 14 counts of Delivering a Controlled Substance and illegally possessing a firearm. While Minner delivered heroin to Sebring, he could not be charged in her death because the toxicology studies were unable to conclusively establish that Minner’s heroin was the cause of death.
