Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf announced that the U.S. Small Business Administration approved his request to declare a disaster in Blair County after significant flood damage to home and buildings earlier this month.

Homeowners, renters and businesses impacted by the July 2, 2018 flash flooding may be eligible for these disaster loan programs.

Officials with the SBA will be on hand for anyone wishing to repair or replace damaged property.

They’ll be at the Blair County Department of Emergency Services, 615 4th Street, Altoona, the following dates:

  • Monday, July 30, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
  • Tuesday, July 31, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
  • Wednesday, August 1, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
  • Thursday, August 2, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
  • Friday, August 3, 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM

No appointment is necessary to meet with an SBA representative to learn more or to apply.

The filing deadline to return applications for physical property damage is Sept. 24, 2018. The deadline to return economic injury applications is April 25, 2019.
