Pennsylvania’s National Guard is heading to Texas to help in the recovery and rescue process in Houston.
Governor Tom Wolf announced that six airmen from the 193rd Special Operations Wing left late last night from Harrisburg.
The airmen will fly to Kelly Air Force Base in San Antonio before standing by for instructions on how they can assist in the Houston area.
It’s unknown how long the team will be in Texas.
Pennsylvania is just one of many states that received federal activation orders from the National Guard bureau.
