PennDOT is alerting drivers that an improvement project on Route 255 in Elk County will start on Wednesday, March 27.

The work zone will be from just outside of Johnsonburg to the city limits of St. Marys. Initially, tree trimming will begin to prepare for other work.

Work will include repairs, resurfacing, guide rail updates and drainage improvements. It’s scheduled to be completed by mid-August.

Traffic will be limited to an alternating pattern that will be controlled by flaggers and drivers should anticipate short delays.
