PennDOT is alerting drivers that work to remove and trim trees on Route 120 in Clinton County is set for this week.
Crews will be working on Route 120 from west of Keating to the Westport area. The goal of the project is to trim healthy trees and remove old and dead trees to keep drivers safe.
When the trees are trimmed, it allows sunlight to speed up snow and ice melting on the roadways during the winter months. It will also lesson the potential of old and dead trees falling on the roads.
Drivers could see short delays as flaggers direct an alternate traffic pattern. Drivers should also be aware of slowed or stopped traffic.
PennDOT encourages drivers to “Know before they go” and to check weather and construction conditions by visiting 511PA.com.
