PennDOT is encouraging students to submit ideas for work zone safety in statewide contest.
The deadline for this contest is January 25, 2019.
Students in grades 9-12 are invited to submit new technologies and methods, aside from laws and educational campaigns, to get drivers to slow down in work zones. This contest educates them on challenges the department faces and encourages students to consider PennDOT as a career opportunity.
The department will choose the regional winners, who will then compete in Harrisburg at the statewide level in April 2019.
$1,500 will be divided among the winners of the statewide competition.
