It’s Global Entrepreneurship Week at Penn State and Thursday night, a very special speaker took the stage.
Actress Tanya Wright is best known for her roles in popular shows like Orange is the New Black, True Blood, The Good Wife, and Madam Secretary.
But she is also the founder of Hairiette, a hair care line for people of all ethnicities.
“They all complement each other,” said Wright. “I don’t see them as competing forces. I see them as part of sort of wheels and a spoke. So this is acting, that’s writing, that’s directing, that’s entrepreneurial stuff, and that’s me.”
The goal of Global Entrepreneurship Week is to bring PSU students together with thousands of local entrepreneurs and international partners, so they can learn from each other.
