Students from Penn State were at the Capitol in Harrisburg on Wednesday to talk with legislators about school funding.
Hundreds of students from the PSU community spoke with representatives about their experiences at the school and what makes it valuable to the state.
One student said it’s great to have elected officials care about them and support their education.
“We would say something, and he would, like, correct us and move us in that further direction, saying that we need even more funding for the school, which obviously is great…to have someone on our side,” Jason Cohen, Penn State student, said.
Students also enjoyed some ice cream from Penn State Berkey Creamery during the event.
