STATE COLLEGE, CENTRE COUNTY, Pa. (WTAJ) — A Penn State student is facing charges after police say he caused thousands of dollars worth of damage to a residence hall.
According to the Centre Daily Times, police say Zachary Blume ripped an exit sign down, damaged a stovetop, and smeared blood on the walls at the top of Hiester Hall.
They also say he was caught on surveillance video taking a fire extinguisher.
In all, Blume is accused of causing more than $5,000 worth of damage.
He was unable to post bail and is behind bars at the Centre County Correctional Facility.
His preliminary hearing is scheduled for April 17th.
