Penn State cracks down on immunizations

Penn State is taking new steps to keep preventable diseases from spreading on its campus.

According to the Centre Daily Times,  the university announced yesterday that students who haven’t complied with vaccination requirements won’t be allowed to sign up for spring classes.

All students are required to have immunizations for measles, mumps and rubella.

If they are living in the dorms they must also be vaccinated against meningitis.

Any student who can’t get those vaccines because of medical or religious reasons can submit waiver forms for each of those immunizations.
