Penn State competes against Michigan State in blood drive

Penn State is hosting its 24th Annual Blood Donor Challenge against Michigan State from October 30 through November 17.

Both universities compete to collect blood, each setting a goal for 1,100 units. Whoever gets the most wins!

The event, taking place at both campuses, is due to a lack of blood supply and donations in the region during the holiday season.

Appointments are highly recommended, but walk-ins are welcome. All donors will receive a 2017 Challenge t-shirt designed by a current PSU student.

To make an appointment, download the Red Cross Blood Donor App, visit redcrossblood.org or call 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767).

More information can be found by contacting Melissa Wolf at Melissa.Wolf@redcross.org or by calling 814-659-5139.
