The penalty phase for convicted murderer Eric Frein continued today in Pike County.

The mother of fallen trooper Bryon Dickson, Darla, took the stand and she described her son as someone who loved to laugh. She told jurors she doesn’t hate Eric, but holds him accountable.

Several other family members and friends also testified.

The jury that convicted Frein for the murder of the state trooper and wounding another, is now deciding if he will spend the rest of his life behind bars, or be put to death.

Frein was found guilty on Wednesday on all counts, including first degree murder, attempted murder, terrorism and possessing a weapon of mass destruction.
