A local pediatrician accused of illegally prescribing opioids will go to trial in Blair County.
Dr. Rebecca Delbaggio is facing 15 felony charges and 18 other charges after police say she prescribed opioids to a man she was having an affair with.
That man, 26 year old Andrew Smithmyer, has also been charged in the case.
He says those prescriptions got him addicted to heroin, and is expected to testify against Dr. Delbaggio during her trial.
No word yet on when that trial will begin.
