Pennsylvania’s Veterans Courts make a difference for Veterans.

Since 2009, Pennsylvania’s Veterans Courts have been helping veterans who are charged with crimes and struggling with mental illness, addiction, or co-occurring disorders.

Veteran Court participants appear before a judge on a regular basis, receive guidance from veteran mentors, and get treatment to address underlying problems caused by post-traumatic stress disorder.

In 2017, 196 out of 284 veterans graduated from this specialty court, which is a 73 percent successful graduation rate.
