The Pennsylvania Turnpike is scheduled to be closed late Saturday evening into early Sunday morning.
The closure will start at 11 p.m. on Saturday and will reopen by 5 a.m. on Sunday.
According to the Somerset Borough Police Department Facebook page, the PA Turnpike will be closed Eastbound only, between the New Stanton Exit #75 and the Breezewood Exit #161. The closure is needed for a bridge beam erection.
During the closure, traffic will be able to enter at the Bedford Interchange, Exit #146, and travel East. Traffic will also be able to enter at the Somerset, Exit #110, & Donegal ,Exit #91, Interchanges and travel Westbound.
Eastbound detour: Eastbound traffic exiting the Turnpike at the New Stanton Interchange, Exit #75, follow U.S. Route 119 North to PA Turnpike Route 66 North to U.S. Route 22 East to Interstate 99 South to U.S. Route 30 East. Traffic will re-enter the PA Turnpike at Breezewood Interchange.
