PennDOT says Pennsylvania has reached a record low in roadway deaths.

With close to 1,200 fatalities in 2016, the state is at the lowest number since record keeping began in 1928. There were also significant decreases in run-off the road crashes, drivers hitting fixed objects, and drunk-driving related fatalities.
