Police say Shawn Christy is wanted by the FBI for threatening to shoot President Trump and using “lethal force” on any law enforcement officers who try to stop him.
Authorities say they spotted a stolen vehicle in Schuylkill County near his home town, McAdoo, PA. It is believed he has stolen five vehicles so far.
Christy also allegedly threatened to harm or kill a police chief, a district attorney, and other law enforcement officers.
Police say Christy posted these threats on Facebook between June 3 and June 12, 2018, and a warrant for his arrest was issued on June 19.
Christy is a 27-year-old, 5’10” white man with a tattoo on his upper right arm. He is charged with Interstate Communication of Threats and Threats Against the President of the United States.
Police say Christy should be considered armed and dangerous and that he may possess several stolen handguns.
The FBI is offering a $20,000 reward for any information on Christy. Anyone with information is asked to call their local FBI office, the nearest American Embassy or Consulate.
