The Pennsylvania Farm Show is in full swing in Harrisburg.
It’a a mixed bag for farmers. Pork producers have been hurt by tariffs this year. Dairy farmers are struggling while we’re told beef consumption is  up across the country. Thousands of people converge on the food court at the Pennsylvania Farm show every year.

Evan Augsburger with the Pennsylvania Pork Producers Council says Pennsylvania ranks 12th in the U.S. for pig production.
But this past year, Chinese tariffs imposed on exports of U.S. pork have hurt business.

On the other hand, beef producers say tariffs didn’t really effect them. The recent rain has been a major hindrance for farmers, but they’ve made do. And while crowds of people wait for cows to give birth in the the calving corner, dairy farmers still struggle, pleading for others to drink and eat dairy products. Many farmers hope by educating people about the food and drinks they consume, their outlook for the year might improve.
