Our Lady of Victory Catholic School is hosting a fundraising Walk-A-Thon Friday.

On October 7, students will celebrate their school’s namesake with prayer, service projects, and other fun activities.

The school first started the Walk-A-Thon fundraiser in 2006, and the funds raised cover the costs of all field trips and allows teachers to use some of the funds in their classrooms. Each year, the funds also go towards music and athletic teams.

Students in each grade are working on a specific service project.

The schedule is below:

Kindergartners will be writing St. Christopher Thank You cards for bus drivers
First graders will be working on Pillowcases for Area Nursing Home Residents
Second graders will be Cleaning the Church to be for Sacraments
Third graders will be making cards/ornaments for Operation Shoebox for our Military service members
Fourth graders will be making Tie-Dye Pillowcases/TLC Kits for a local Children’s Hospital
Fifth graders will be making Birthday/Holiday bags for food bank recipients’ children
Sixth and seventh graders will be making Jared Boxes/Hope Boxes for Stormbreak Runaway Shelter, Burrowes Street Youth Haven, and The Meadows Behavioral Health Treatment Facility
