Residents in Centre County will soon have a new curbside service available.

The Council of Governments for the Centre Region (COG) is starting a program for organics curbside recycling.

This will impact Benner, College, Ferguson, Harris and Patton townships in 2020.

And now COG wants your input with a community survey to understand what residents want from the program.

Pam Adams, Refuse & Recycling Coordinator for COG, said  “Every household has trash and hopefully if they’re recycling now, this is just an extension of that to be able to put your food waste and your yard waste some place. So if you’re already recycling, this is just the next step.”

The survey will close on Friday, Dec. 22.
