FRANKSTOWN TOWNSHIP, BLAIR COUNTY, Pa. (WTAJ) — Saturday was a busy day at Pennsylvania’s waterways, as folks gathered for the opening day of trout fishing.
The Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission says it stocked more than three million trout into streams and lakes across the state. Sportsmen’s groups and other organization added another one million trout in public waterways.
Danielle Turner and her two children tried their luck at Canoe Creek State Park.
She said, “Everybody’s just wrapped up in technology anymore and this kind of deletes that away.”
When we talked to Danielle, her family hadn’t had any luck yet, possibly because it was windy, she said.
But it was a perfect day anyway and they were having a good time.
