Some people decided to take the microphone and break into song Saturday.

They were competing for a chance to sing The Star Spangled Banner or God Bless America during the upcoming Altoona Curve season.

Auditions took place at the Logan Valley Mall. If you missed your chance today, another tryout will be held against next Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until noon at the Somerset County Courthouse.
