Damage assessments were conducted in Cambria County following major flooding from the storm on June 14. It was determined that the damages caused do not qualify for assistance from the federal government.
The Clearfield County Department of Emergency Services and officials from the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency conducted the assessment.
Although federal damage thresholds were not met for public or individual assistance, businesses, residents and some renters may qualify for low interest loans from the U.S. Small Business Administration.
Coalport, Irvona and Beccaria Township were all assessed, but resdients that had damage and were not visited by assessment teams should contact their local officials.
