The evacuation order in Hyndman is now in its third day. CSX officials say the major train fire is out, but people still don’t know when they can return home.

On Wednesday, firefighters went door-to-door urging people to leave town, but some refused. 

We spoke to one man who said the damage is extensive and shared some cell phone video of what the Bedford County town looks like.

CSX officials have allowed some people to return to their homes to collect some belongings, but they have not issued a time table on when they will lift the evacuation order.

Air quality tests are being conducted.  Roads in and around Hyndman remain closed.
