Two area hospitals are changing their names. Starting January 1, the HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital in Altoona will be known as Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Altoona, and HealthSouth Nittany Valley in Pleasant Gap, will be called Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Nittany Valley

Both hospitals  will continue to provide inpatient  rehab care for patients overcoming a variety of major illnesses and injuries.
