ALTOONA, Pa. (WTAJ) — A magical new ice flavor is now available at Rita’s Italian Ice.

It’s called unicorn. It’s purple and offers a shimmery, pearlescent look.

The unique flavor is being served up at the Altoona and Bedford location.

The owner of both stores, Tammy Wiley, said so far it has been a big hit with every age group.

“It’s good,” Wiley told us. “It’s strawberry flavored, but it has got a cotton candy twist. So it’s almost kind of like a mystery where people have the fun of trying to taste it and see if they can identify that flavor.”

Unicorn will be available until June 9th. If you can’t make it to Rita’s Italian Ice before then, don’t worry. Wiley said the flavor will most likely be in their rotation throughout the summer.
