INDIANA COUNTY, Pa. (WTAJ) — The National Weather Service (NWS) has confirmed a tornado in Indiana County from Tuesday’s storms. 

According to the NWS, the EF-0 tornado touched down in Penn Run on May 28 at approximately 3:45 p.m.

The wind speeds were estimated at 65mph with a path width of 30 yards. 

The NWS says that damage was to hardwood trees, mainly large branches broken and small trees snapped at the trunk. The beginning and end points are estimated since they were located in an open field, according to the NWS. 

The NWS says that Tuesday’s tornado is the 16th since 1950 and the third one since Saturday.
