ALTOONA, Pa (WTAJ) — After several North American Communication employee’s in Altoona lost their jobs this week, the company is offering a helping hand.

A Rapid Response Information Session is being held on June 5th at the Blair County Convention Center.

Furloughed and laid-off workers are invited to attend and learn about their options moving forward.

Starting at 10 A.M. professionals will be discussing unemployment compensation, job assistance, healthcare options, education, training programs, and more,

A resources fair will also be held immediately after the speakers finish the information session.

Workers will be able to speak directly with agencies about what assistance is available to them. 
Some of that assistance will include helping those workers with the transition to their next position.

The information session will last approximately two hours.
